Jurassic World The Biggest Friday In Box Office History

Jurassic World was expected to do well at the box office, but even the stars of the film may be a bit surprised that it has done as well as it has, becoming a total box office blockbuster.

The film broke Universal’s ‘Thursday Night Preview’ record with $18.5 million in ticket sales and smashed it at the box office on Friday, meaning it has become the most successful ‘pure’ Friday opening of all time, with $64.1 million.

It is also now third in the all time debuts chart, behind Harry Potter and Avengers: Age Of Ultron, and the sales don’t look like slowing down yet, with a whole new generation of fans getting drawn into the Jurassic Park world – not to mention the older and more nostalgic fans reliving their youth.

Chris Pratt has reportedly already signed on for the follow up film, and with ticket sales like that, it is little wonder.
